When the vehicles are ready to be picked up from manufacturer location EFL team will build the loads and send the transport order to the carrier. Carrier will receive e-mail notification with load details and at the same time the transportation order will wait in the system for acceptation under section Inbound.
Carrier needs to provide details about driver, transportation vehicle, estimated loading/unloading times.
All entered data can be reused for future use.
Carriers are responsible to ensure all truck-away equipment have the ability to transport various vehicles in a safe and secure manner. Equipment must be designed to allow entry and exit of the vehicles without contacting any metal surfaces of the car carrier truck.
A thorough inspection of the vehicle must be performed at each handling point. This inspection protects the driver from liability of existing damages or missing equipment. It is the service provider’s responsibility to perform a thorough inspection of the vehicle regardless of environmental conditions. Inspection time is typically 3-6 minutes for each vehicle.
At the loading point all vehicles must be inspected prior to moving, verifed that the shipping destination on the transport request matches the load sheet information.
On-time delivery is a priority. Drivers need to promptly report transportation delays to the EFL. Such reports should include the location, cause and expected length of the delay. EFL will notify the client if the delay exceeds 24 hrs.
